Job Summary
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused team member to join our fast-paced café. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in their work.
Part-time only. Nights and weekends required.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service
- Operate POS system
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Complete food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches and salads
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service within a café or retail environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks smoothly during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and sales calculations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience in coffee preparation or the food industry is highly desirable
