Role Description
The Lifeguard will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all swimmers and visitors at the facility. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring activities in and around the pool, enforcing safety rules, preventing accidents, and providing immediate assistance in emergency situations. Regular inspections of pool facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards will also be required. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bronx NY
Qualifications
- Proficiency in lifeguarding, swimming, and water rescue techniques
- Knowledge of CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures
- Strong observational and decision-making skills
- Ability to enforce rules effectively and interact calmly and professionally with diverse groups
- Certified Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform rescue duties as needed
- Experience in pool management or related safety protocols is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
