Cunningham Security is seeking a dependable technician to perform inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on fire alarm and security systems. Based in Falmouth, this position combines hands-on fieldwork, customer interaction, and detailed service reporting.

Your Work In The Field

You’ll visit customer locations to check system performance, complete scheduled maintenance, and document your findings. Typical assignments include:

• Testing fire alarm and security systems using established inspection procedures.
• Checking smoke detectors, motion sensors, control panels, and related components.
• Replacing batteries and completing preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshooting minor issues and identifying concerns that require additional service.
• Preparing clear, accurate digital inspection reports and service records.
• Using Sedona and BuildingReports to document work and maintain organized records.
• Explaining inspection findings professionally to customers.
• Coordinating with service and support staff when follow-up is needed.
  
  

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who works carefully, communicates clearly, and stays organized while handling assignments independently.

Preferred Qualifications Include

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with fire alarms, security equipment, low-voltage systems, or electrical work.
• NICET or IPSI certification, or willingness to pursue industry certifications.
• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
• A professional, customer-focused approach.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
  
  

Industry experience and certifications are helpful. Candidates with mechanical aptitude and an interest in developing specialized skills are also encouraged to apply.
