Cunningham Equities is seeking a motivated, personable, and organized Leasing Intern to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in real estate, leasing, property management, or real estate operations. The Leasing Intern will gain hands-on experience working directly with prospective residents and supporting the leasing process from the initial inquiry through lease execution and move-in.
We are looking for someone who wants to learn the real estate business, take on responsibility, and grow with the company. While this position begins as part-time, our goal is for this opportunity to develop into a full-time position for the right candidate based on performance, initiative, and mutual fit.
Responsibilities
Prospective Resident Communication
Respond to prospective resident inquiries by phone, email, text, and other communication platforms
Schedule property tours
Follow up with prospects after tours and throughout the leasing process
Maintain timely, professional, and friendly communication
Help prospective residents understand the next steps toward becoming a resident
Property Tours
Conduct professional and engaging apartment and property tours
Showcase available apartments, amenities, and community features
Learn about each prospect's needs and tailor the tour accordingly
Leasing Process
Assist with the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease signing
Send lease agreements and other required leasing documents
Assist prospective residents with questions regarding the application and leasing process
Lead & CRM Management
Enter and maintain accurate prospect information in company systems
Document calls, emails, tours, follow-ups, and important prospect information
Track leads and follow-up opportunities
Help ensure no prospective resident falls through the cracks
Communicate promising or highly interested prospects to the leasing and management team
Marketing & Property Presentation
Assist with leasing and property marketing initiatives
Help maintain accurate apartment listings and availability information
Help prepare apartments and common areas for tours and leasing events

Experience
Previous experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, leasing, real estate, or property management is helpful but not required.
Students and recent graduates pursuing degrees in real estate, business, marketing, communications, finance, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
