Education/Experience:
- College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
- Basic level of relevant work experience in controls engineering, or automation.
- Familiarity with PLC hardware/software and troubleshooting techniques, specifically Allen-Bradley and Siemens controls.
- Understanding of manufacturing environments and automation systems.
- Exposure to factory automation and control systems.
- Experience in sensor technology and data measurement techniques.
- Basic knowledge of controls system security and safety standards in industrial settings.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of robots, specifically Fanuc robot programming.
- 100% onsite role at the Rocky Mount Engine Plant in Whitakers, North Carolina.
- Key stakeholder in ensuring new CNC lines meet the controls architecture requirements and work with equipment vendors for runoff and validation.
- Lead production line and automation logic updates to reduce downtime and increase troubleshooting ease.
