In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Support successful vehicle and laboratory testing by assisting engineers and test technicians with test setup, execution, and troubleshooting, helping ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Provide accurate and organized test documentation by recording test setups, procedures, and results, enabling data-driven decisions and maintaining engineering traceability.
- Contribute to high-quality test results through proper instrumentation installation, verification, and monitoring, ensuring reliable data collection during testing activities.
- Improve operational efficiency by coordinating test part logistics and ensuring the right components, tools, and equipment are available when needed.
- Maintain compliance and equipment readiness by supporting asset management activities, calibration tracking, and documentation requirements that uphold quality standards.
- Analyze test data and identify trends using engineering fundamentals, Excel, and other analytical tools to help engineers evaluate performance and support product improvements.
- Promote a safe and organized laboratory environment by maintaining cleanliness, following safety procedures, and supporting a culture of workplace safety and professionalism.
- Apply mechanical and automotive knowledge in a hands-on setting to assemble test components, interpret engineering drawings, and support the development and validation of vehicle systems and products.
- Strong attention to detail to accurately document test setups, record results, and ensure compliance with quality and calibration requirements.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude to safely use tools, assemble test components, and follow engineering drawings during vehicle and laboratory test setups.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret test data, identify trends, and support engineers in evaluating performance and test outcomes.
- Technical proficiency with engineering tools such as Excel, basic programming, and mathematics to organize, analyze, and report test information effectively.
- Knowledge of vehicles and vehicle systems to understand testing objectives, instrumentation requirements, and component functionality during test execution.
- A proactive, collaborative, and safety-focused mindset to maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, follow safety procedures, work effectively with engineers and technicians, and support efficient testing operations.
