In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Completing repair activities on generators or components
- Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of service
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
- Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
- Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
- Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
- Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch.
- Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation. Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Current relevant electrical certification Locally valid driving permitThis position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Basic level field service work experienceIntermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation productsHigh Voltage/ Low Voltage experienceCustomer service experience
- A current valid license is required for this role
- This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- 3 years driving experience
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
- This roll is subject to Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) drug testing pre-employment and random drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug testing.
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
