Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices are followed at all times.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff, including symptoms related to infectious diseases or behavioral health concerns.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting medical records and care notes precisely.
- Provide emotional support and effective communication tailored to patients’ needs, especially those with dementia or memory care requirements.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
Pay: $20.50 per hour
