Cumming Group is currently looking for a Construction Cost Estimator to be located in the Los Angeles, CA area. In this role, you will oversee Themed Entertainment projects to ensure that estimates and budgets align with the owner's requirements and standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field
Experience: Minimum of 3 years full-time paid professional experience in construction cost estimating

The salary range for this full-time role is $95,000.00-$126,666.68 per year. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of the construction industry and the ability to use cost-estimating methods
- Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
- Demonstrate a high degree of creativity and latitude
- Perform change order estimating
- Lead project estimates as directed by the line manager.
- Perform work tasks by receiving direction and then working independently, with an interest in quickly learning and applying new skills and abilities
- Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs.
- Extensive experience in developing and estimating the scope of work for change orders.
- Ability to compare the independent cost estimate with the contractor proposal to quickly identify differences.
- Ability to develop the scope of work based on RFI/RFC answers and estimate the detailed costs of those scopes of work, independent of the contractor proposal.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
