Duties

- Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide mental health counseling within your scope of practice.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral change and goal setting.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to coordinate care plans, document progress in electronic health record (EHR) systems, and ensure seamless communication.
- Mentor clients through skill-building activities that promote social engagement, addiction recovery, and emotional regulation.
- Respond promptly to crises, employing crisis intervention strategies to de-escalate situations effectively.
Requirements
- Lived experience with mental health recovery or addiction, demonstrating resilience and insight.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and crisis management techniques essential for supporting individuals in distress.
- Background in behavioral health, mental health counseling, social work, or related fields preferred.
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and empower others toward positive change.
- Experience with addiction counseling or substance use recovery programs is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and care coordination.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to engage empathetically with diverse populations.
