Job Statement/Summary |
The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all management aspects of his/her team. The Assistant Coach must assist the Head Coach with practice and games. Assistant Coaches must make prospective student-athletes aware of all policies and procedures in the University Regulations and the Athletic Handbook. The Assistant Coach should also provide assistance, as needed, in the recruitment of players each season in accordance with University and NAIA rules and regulations. |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
This is a twelve month position reporting to the Head Coach and Athletic Director. The Assistant Coach must have a strong commitment to Athletics and exceptional independent judgment, problem solving, planning skills, and the ability to effectively motivate student-athletes. The Assistant Coach must have the knowledge to teach the sport and the ability to recruit. The Assistant Coach must display professionalism in all aspects of the position. |

Experience |
1-3 years of college coaching experience preferred |

Education |
Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred |

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions |
Requires standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying and climbing, reaching both high and low. Frequently requires walking and balancing. Work is conducted in a high-paced and very stressful environment. Assistant Coaches are generally in high-profile positions. |
