Cumberland Trust is searching for a Tax Specialist. The Trust Tax Specialist role is designed to assist in managing and overseeing the tax-related activities for trust accounts. This position involves preparing documentation, maintaining records, assisting in gathering a complete packet of information for the preparation of tax returns, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws. The Trust Tax Specialist will work closely with CPA partners, trust administration, and other team members to provide seamless support in trust tax matters.
Tax season requires extended work schedule (6 days a week) from February, March, April, and September with no PTO during this time. During remainder of the year, schedule is less than full-time.
This position requires the following skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, tax, or accounting is preferred
- 5 years’ experience in tax or accounting preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to coordinate among internal departments and external tax professionals
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong research skills
