Must have Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional Certification. The Cumberland School Department is seeking personnel to work with our students. The job will involve the following duties/responsibilities: 1. Assist in classroom duties under the supervision of the classroom teacher2.
Assist and supervise students during lunch and recess3. Assist students in moving to different locations within the school building (ie: bathroom)4. Other duties as may be assigned by the classroom teacher, building administrator and/or the Superintendent of Schools.Willingness to attend Professional development to enhance skills in this area as needed, willingness to be Safety Care trained and able to work cooperatively as a member of a classroom team of professionals. Knowledge of and experience with behavioral and emotional supports preferred.Please provide a complete application.
