Position Summary
We are looking for a reliable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing clinic team. The ideal candidate will assist providers with clinical and administrative duties while helping create a positive experience for patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers during patient visits, exams, and procedures
- Record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Administer medications as directed by the provider
- Collect and prepare lab specimens for testing
- Perform basic in-office testing such as urinalysis and blood glucose checks
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical equipment and instruments
- Educate patients on provider instructions and follow-up care
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system
- Support daily clinic operations as needed
Qualifications
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
Additional Information
Applicants should be willing to commute to or relocate to the Cookeville/Crossville area before starting employment.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
