What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Cumberland Family Medicine LLC?
Cumberland Family Medicine is seeking to add a Nurse Practitioner to our growing practice that is based on tradition, compassion and partnership with our patients. Our practice focuses primarily on outpatient Family Medicine and Geriatric Care including well adult preventive health care, well child care and vaccinations, well woman care and regular gynecologic exams, chronic disease management of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, thyroid conditions, pulmonary disease, stomach, bowel and kidney disease, bone and joint disease, mental health, osteoporosis and wound care.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Provide care in office, full time hours preferred
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Shared call from home (hospitalist group handles all admissions and hospital rounds)
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Appropriate and valid licensure
