Join our team and help keep our facilities running smoothly! We’re looking for a hands-on professional to tackle a variety of maintenance tasks—from fixing furniture and equipment to performing minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs. In this role, you’ll get to operate and maintain light to medium machinery while working both indoors and out. Whether it’s patching a wall, repairing a lock, or supporting grounds upkeep, every day brings something new. You’ll work under the guidance of a crew or facility supervisor, but your impact will be seen—and appreciated—across the entire site.
- Assist in building and grounds maintenance and make repairs to buildings and structures as directed
- Operate, clean, and maintain equipment; police grounds, picking up debris and depositing in proper receptacles
- empty refuse and recyclable material receptacles
- Perform general labor and custodial duties as directed
- Assist in tagging equipment with fixed inventory identification
- Erect and disassemble flooring, chairs, track walls, and other special equipment as needed
- Knowledge of basic methods, materials, and equipment employed in building and grounds and equipment maintenance operations
- Knowledge of the proper methods and safety precautions for general building and grounds maintenance work
- Ability to operate and maintain motorized machinery and power and hand tools used in building and ground preparation and maintenance
- Ability to read, understand, and follow building diagram directions for set-up of events
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to exercise tact and courtesy in contact with the general public
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Conditions of Employment:
Driving is an essential function of this position. To be considered, you must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. If your driver's license is from another state, you will be required to obtain and show proof of a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of hire.
