Support for all CUMAC Programs and Guest Needs

  • Perform assessments to identify guest’s needs and develop a plan to address those needs.
  • For identified needs within the Benefit Enrollment Center (BEC) accepted applications, help guests apply for benefits.
  • Follow-up with guests who applied for benefits on a monthly basis to see what services and/or support they may need.
  • Help guests re-certify their benefits.
  • For identified needs outside of CUMAC’s services, help connect clients with resources.
  • Work with CUMAC’s Home Delivery program to screen and provide services to eligible clients.
  • Use CUMAC’s Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.) to track outcomes, input data, organize clients’ case files, document case notes, and related information and record keeping.
  • Using tracked data, submit monthly reports to funders and the CUMAC programs team.
  • Support all programs team activities as necessary.
  • Develop and implement guest facing trainings/presentations
  • Undertake outreach for new clients.

· Support the Marketplace by providing trauma-informed customer service to all and ensure they are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

· Welcome guests into the Marketplace by checking them in and assisting with completing their food orders.

· Complete clerical and administrative tasks such as answering phones, and emails and scheduling appointments.

· Assist the Marketplace Supervisor to manage and operate the CUMAC Marketplace, following all policies and procedures.

· Collaborate with other departments to improve client services.

  • Learn about and remain current on Trauma informed community building principles.
  • Keep track of time and efforts spent supporting other CUMAC programs.
  • Report to the Director of Programs about any potentially emerging risk situations and provide documentation in a timely manner.
  • Clearly and regularly communicate to build consensus and ensure all staff work together.

Qualifications:

Bilingual – Spanish/ English Required

Associate’s degree in social work, human services, or related field with at least three years of experience working in a supportive housing setting.

Knowledge of available resources in Paterson and Passaic County.

Excellent organizational skills. Self-starter. Ability to work independently. Ability to multitask.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Leadership capacity, sound judgment, and initiative.

Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Computer literacy with proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office products, and case management systems

Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

Occasional evening and weekend hours.

Prior experience with and knowledge of N.E.A.R. Science (Neuroscience, Epigenetics, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and Resilience) is a major plus.

Community Health Worker Certification is a major PLUS

Possess a valid driver's license

Demonstrated flexibility, self-motivation, attention to detail, and organization, as well as a proven record of successfully managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

Due to the temporary nature of this position, no health insurance will be offered.
