Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, the Director of Academic Initiatives, Innovation and Grants provides leadership, coordination, and oversight of key district initiatives, including Arts education, Career Technical Education (CTE), instructional technology, dual enrollment, innovation, and strategic programs. The role ensures alignment across programs, funding sources, and district priorities while supporting effective implementation and accountability in accordance with district goals and requirements.
Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skills would be: EXPERIENCE: - Valid California Administrative Services Credential; - Minimum of five years full time teaching experience at the elementary and/or secondary level (experience at multiple levels highly encouraged) - Multiple subject or single subject California teaching credential - Master’s degree from an accredited institution; and - Five (5) years of increasingly responsible educational leadership experience, such as site or district-level leadership. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with grant development and program management; - Secondary experience highly desirable - Background in Arts education, Career Technical Education, or related program areas; and - Experience leading cross-functional or districtwide initiatives.
