Oral Surgery Dental Assistant – Fort Lauderdale, FL
Private oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join a specialty-focused team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-level surgical environment and wants to work with complex, rewarding cases.
The practice focuses on:
- Temporomandibular disorders, including surgical management and joint replacement
- Orthognathic surgery for correction of skeletal jaw deformities
- Surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea
- Reconstruction of the upper and lower jaw with dental and zygoma implants and bone grafting
- Pathology of the jaws and full reconstruction
What you bring:
- Prior oral surgery assisting experience is required
- Hospital clearance is strongly preferred
- Confidence supporting advanced surgical procedures, sedation cases, and multi-step treatment plans
- The ability to anticipate the surgeon’s needs, stay organized, and provide a calm, steady presence for patients
