General Manager

The General Manager of Culture Club Wedgewood owns the flagship location for the brand, curating the team and guest experience from start to finish. You are the operational heartbeat of the organization — responsible for building the kind of culture that makes people want to come back time and time again and that makes your team love what they do.

Core Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Hire, train, and develop all team members and shift leads at the flagship location
• Build and maintain a weekly schedule that optimizes coverage across all time blocks while managing labor costs
• Conduct regular 1:1s with Shift Leads and Team Members, providing consistent performance feedback to all team members
• Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and genuine hospitality
• Manage performance issues directly and fairly, following established HR guidelines

Operations & Guest Experience

• Foster a culture of exceptional hospitality and lead from the front in this capacity
• Ensure consistent execution of service standards across every shift and every daypart
• Own the floor during peak periods (7PM–11PM) and be present during high-volume moments
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness, safety, and readiness standards
• Manage vendor relationships, inventory, and ordering to minimize waste and ensure product availability
• Identify and resolve operational gaps proactively before they become guest-facing issues
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and with genuine care
• Ensure frozen yogurt machines are properly maintained, filled, and cleaned at all times
• Oversee the preparation, presentation, and quality of the topping bar throughout each shift
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure product consistency across all offerings
• Enforce food safety standards in accordance with ServSafe and TN Food Handler requirements
• Oversee and log daily and weekly cleaning tasks throughout the location
• Proactively communicate with ownership regarding equipment repair needs, facility issues, and any operational concerns as they arise

Financial Performance

• Monitor daily sales performance and adjust staffing and operations to respond to trends
• Weekly meeting with ownership sharing insights on team and guest experience
• Drive revenue through exceptional guest experience, team coaching, and community engagement

Culture & Brand

• Serve as the guardian of the Culture Club brand at our flagship location
• Build relationships with regular guests and the surrounding community
• Partner with ownership on events, activations, and local marketing initiatives

What We’re Looking ForRequired

• 3 years of experience as a General Manager in a food & beverage, hospitality, or retail environment
• Proven track record of building and retaining strong teams
• Exceptional communication skills — with ownership, your team, and guests
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
• A genuine love for serving people

Strongly Preferred

• Passion for food, beverage, culture, or community-driven retail
• Experience with Toast, 7shifts, Slack, and inventory management
