Job Overview
As an Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our fast-paced cannabis dispensary environment. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards in accuracy and compliance. You’ll be at the forefront of operations, ensuring that every patient and guest experiences the best our establishment has to offer.
What you’ll do
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
- Train and develop staff to enhance their skills in cannabis education, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels while maximizing margins.
- Utilize Dutchie POS & Backoffice system for efficient transactions, cash handling, and inventory processing. In addition, you will utilize Metrc and the state communication portal, eLicense.
- Supervise shift management to ensure all team members are performing at their best.
- Implement DCC adult-use and medical cannabis standards and practices to guarantee compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on ordering and scheduling to optimize operational profits.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional growth.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in OMMCP/DCC dispensary management or similar experience.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team management and development.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and customers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Knowledgeable of cannabis basics including products, strains, and consumption methods
- Retail sales or customer service experience of 1-3 years, preferably in cannabis industry
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the dispensary’s guests
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID
- Must pass any and all required background checks
