Provides excellent customer service.
Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following policies and procedures.
Verify patient information by interviewing patient and confirming purpose of the visit.
Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by keeping patient information confidential.
Prepare patient for exam by collecting medical history, vital signs and required clinical information.
Document patients' current medications and all allergies.
Assist provider during testing, examinations and procedure(s) when needed.
Follow provider's instructions to complete patient treatment.
Provide and record all medications and immunizations ordered by provider and given to the patient.
Take patient specimen and carry out laboratory test(s) ordered by the provider.
Stock exam rooms.
Keep supplies ready by taking inventory of stock; communicate to the manager when an order needs to be placed.
Perform administrative duties such as answering incoming calls, returning calls, verifying lab and x-ray reports are received.
Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Qualifications: Education:
Medical assistant certification from the Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants.
Experience:
1 year of previous experience in a clinical or hospital environment preferred.

Excellent assessment skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Work independently and effectively in a busy environment.
