Overview
CROSM Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, the office of Dr. David Dueland and Dr. Ben Gomez, is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our orthopedic surgery practice. Qualified candidates must hold a current Medical Assistant Certification.
Responsibilities
- Triaging and rooming patients.
- Performing X-rays.
- Applying and removing casts, splints, and braces.
- Providing wound care and dressing changes.
- Obtaining pre-certifications and prior authorizations for CTs, MRIs and labs.
- Assisting with orthopedic procedures and patient care.
- Documenting accurately in the EMR (experience with Systemedx is a plus!)
- Performing other clinical and administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in Orthopedics is highly recommended.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (If the applicant cannot consistently work these hours, please do not apply).
- Proficiency in medical terminology.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and health regulation policies to support accurate patient care.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and confidentiality handling practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform triage effectively and provide compassionate patient care in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
