What are the responsibilities and job description for the OR RN FT - SURGICAL SERVICES position at CULLMAN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER INC?
Job Summary:
- Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
- Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure if experience permits.
- Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Education:
Associate degree or higher in nursing from an accredited school of nursing and current license by Alabama Board of Nursing required. BSN degree preferred. Successful completion of basic life support - healthcare provider in all units.
Experience:
One year of experience preferred. Must pass medication test.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guests. Proficient oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills required.
