Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, and restocking supplies
- Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels as needed
- Ensure all floor care tasks are completed properly using appropriate equipment for carpet cleaning, polishing hard floors, or spot cleaning stains
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for swift resolution
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Assist with inventory management by tracking cleaning supplies and requesting replenishments when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred
- Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning methods is advantageous
- Experience with floor care equipment such as buffers or extractors is beneficial
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and customer service principles enhances guest satisfaction
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience demonstrates reliability and attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
- Housekeeping management experience is a plus for supervisory or team-leading responsibilities
