Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction Coordinator located in Cullman, AL. Cullman Electric Cooperative is seeking highly qualified, talented and motivated applicants for the position of Construction Coordinator. The individual in this position utilizes assigned resources and personnel to provide effective planning, coordination and completion timelines of construction and maintenance operation projects.
Education & Experience Requirements
The successful candidate will possess an Associate’s degree from an accredited two-year college or technical schools and five years’ utility related experiences and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other knowledge, skills and abilities required
Possess and exhibit the ability to collect and research data and to coordinate projects in a timely manner as well as possess the ability to use tact and courtesy in dealing with members/owners and the general public. Candidate must work cooperatively as a team member to demonstrate the values of commitment, accountability, reliability and efficiency and must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must have knowledge of DOT and ALEA regulations and 811 Dig. Must also possess the knowledge to determine specifications in compliance with safety policies, procedures and rules.
Working Conditions
Regularly exposed to outdoor work in various weather conditions with irregular and long hours during outages. Occasional overnight travel may be involved.
Licenses and Certifications Required
Must possess and maintain a valid Alabama Driver’s License with CDL Class A Endorsement, Journeyman Lineman Certification, Bucket Truck Rescue Certification, CPR and First Aid Certification, and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC Certification).
