What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, ESG position at Culligan Water?
What You'll Work On
- Support ESG data collection, validation, and management using enterprise ESG and carbon accounting platforms (e.g., Workiva and emissions reporting tools)
- Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Operations, Finance, Legal, Audit, Investor Relations, Supply Chain, and HR to compile and quality-check ESG data and support program management related to:
- Carbon emissions and decarbonization initiatives
- Water stewardship and waste reduction
- Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB)
- Product donations and community impact
- Product sustainability
- Supply chain stewardship
- Support ESG project coordination and execution across the ESG portfolio, from data gathering through implementation
- Assist with global ESG reporting and disclosure aligned with leading frameworks and standards, including: EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD / ESRS), ISSB / IFRS S1 & S2, TCFD and other global ESG frameworks
- Assist with sustainability data and ESG-related marketing claims, including exposure to life-cycle assessment (LCA) tools and product sustainability data
- Contribute to ESG communications and disclosures, including Culligan's annual ESG Report, ESG newsletters, and other internal and external materials
- Identify opportunities to improve ESG data quality, documentation, reporting workflows, and internal controls
What We're Looking For
- Senior undergraduate or master's candidate pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, ESG, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Strong interest in corporate sustainability, ESG reporting, and global regulatory frameworks
- Excellent attention to detail and comfort working with data across multiple workstreams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions
- Prior experience in a corporate, consulting, or professional office environment is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour (non-exempt, hourly position).
- Benefits: This position is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits.

Education
Preferred
