Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, and ventilation equipment in residential settings.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation.
- Conduct system diagnostics using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Perform repairs and system upgrades on existing HVAC units to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with customers to explain system operations, maintenance procedures, and answer any questions professionally.
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical systems repair techniques to complete installations efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong mechanical aptitude for HVAC system installation and repair.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems, and plumbing is essential.
- Ability to operate hand tools confidently and perform equipment troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or HVAC/R are a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude; ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver preferred.
