Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. This is a permanent, full-time onsite position with our client. Compensation is up to $133,810 annually, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support facility operations by promoting a safe work environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across environmental, health, and safety programs.
The successful candidate will partner closely with operations and leadership to identify workplace hazards, conduct audits, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company EHS policies.
Responsibilities
- Identify workplace safety, health, and environmental hazards and develop practical solutions to reduce risk.
- Conduct EHS audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and deliver required environmental, health, and safety training.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and identify trends requiring corrective action.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with plant leadership to strengthen the site's safety culture.
- Maintain regulatory documentation and support internal and external compliance audits.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and environmental performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Experience supporting EHS programs in a manufacturing, industrial, oil & gas, or heavy equipment environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and safety training is preferred.
