Position Overview: The firm is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to support our Personal Injury Tort & Insurance Defense practice. The ideal candidate will have experience managing litigation matters from inception through trial preparation, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service.
Job Duties
The salary range for this role is $50,000–$80,000, with actual compensation commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. We offer an excellent benefits package, and a collaborative, professional environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing litigation matters from inception through trial preparation, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service.
Job Duties
- Draft and prepare litigation documents, including discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, discovery motions, and medical record reviews.
- Obtain, organize, and track medical and other relevant records.
- Provide direct support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters, expert witnesses, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
- Prepare cases for mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trial.
- File legal documents electronically in New York State and Federal Courts.
- Monitor court deadlines, discovery schedules, and compliance with case management orders.
- Work overtime on an as-needed basis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- A four-year college degree.
- At least two years of defense personal injury tort litigation experience.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to assume immediate responsibility, prioritize assignments, and manage an active caseload.
- Capacity to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; PowerPoint knowledge is a plus.
