What You’ll Do
- Manage cases from investigation through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, and trials.
- Draft pleadings, dispositive and discovery motions, and appellate briefs.
- Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients; oversee discovery and e-discovery.
- Communicate directly with clients, experts, co-counsel, and opposing counsel; participate in settlement negotiations.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members and collaborate with staff.
- JD and admission to the New York Bar (in good standing).
- 4 years of commercial litigation experience in New York state and/or federal courts.
- Strong brief writing, research, and oral advocacy skills; comfort taking/defending depositions and appearing in court.
- Sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset with professionalism and client-service focus.
- Albany, NY. Hybrid work may be considered consistent with client, court, and team needs.
- We offer a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and a collaborative, friendly environment. The salary range for this role is $135,000-$150,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience. Email resume and salary requirements.
