Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Enter customer orders into the POS system
- Process cash, credit, debit, and other approved payment transactions
- Maintain accurate cash-handling and transaction records
- Answer guest questions about menu items and restaurant services
- Communicate customer requests and special instructions to kitchen staff
- Verify completed orders for accuracy before serving or packaging
- Assist with takeout, pickup, and order packaging as needed
- Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming counter and dining areas
- Restock utensils, condiments, packaging, beverages, and service supplies
- Support restaurant team members during busy service periods
- Follow food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, security, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cashier, restaurant, food service, retail, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math and payment-handling abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and transaction accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask
Preferred Skills
