JOB TITLE: Fleet Logistics Coordinator
SUMMARY: Cuisine Solutions is currently hiring a Logistics Coordinator to assist in reviewing weekly orders/load volume, determine best modes of transportation, assign carriers/brokers and coordinate with careers. In addition, partner with production and planning to ensure product is available.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review weekly order/ load volume, tendered by Customer Service.
- Send files & OAs to the warehouse to ensure third party provider receives acknowledgments, which consist of shipping addresses, and SKU specifications along with case counts & volume.
- Schedule the best modes of transportation for cost savings (lane quoting), which can be determined based on lead time, order volume and location.
- Assign carriers/ brokers to each load – based on service level (LTL, Dedicated, FTL, Customer Pickups).
- Sending carrier acknowledgments to selected providers.
- Work with Production and Planning as well as Customer Service to ensure all products are available before load/ ship date.
- Day-to-day follow-up on order shipments & tracking detail and alert notifications for FedEx, UPS as well as 3PL deliveries; making sure all orders/ loads shipped and arrived, per del. commitments.
- Recovering signed BOLs and PODs from carriers.
- Emailing Bill of Ladings and Packing lists to specified Distributors, so that they could successfully receive orders.
- Capturing weekly outbound reporting, to be sent over to the contracted carrier as well as warehouse.
- Compile weekly reporting, highlighting cost savings as a whole; to be presented to managing supervisor.
- Support accounting with claims and disputes for loss or damaged product (orders received/ delivered; less or over the amounts due).
- Effective communication and email follow-up b/w warehouse, transportation, sales as well as Customer Service.
- Schedule routing for the daily based activity w/ regards to production planning & volume
- Manage/ minimize shipping time & routing.
- Ensuring drivers are clocking in & out as well as taking their mandatory breaks within schedule.
- Communicating with 3 Party Warehouse to ensure the preloaded trailers are picked up – as planned.
- Making certain drivers fuel tractor heads & trailers between routings
- Adhering to the rules of DOT compliance; maintaining hours of compliance
- Holding drivers responsible for reviewing and turning in their pre-trip reports (denoting damage or repairs) as well as filling in their Driver Trip Reports (mileage).
- Filing and the retrieving of signed BOLs & PODs *(to be turned in by drivers)
- Maximize the use of our leased tractor/ trailers, w/ the goal in mind to reduce outside spending (avoid extra cost).
- Tracking/ monitoring drivers to ensure productivity, fuel efficiency, and to maintain schedules.
- Managing/ holding drivers responsible for daily refueling of tractor heads as well as trailers.
- Making sure trucks are maintaining temperatures, while used for staging or transportation (in route)
- Keep CDLs responsible for securing each load, i.e., load bars, straps.
- Monitoring the temp. tail notifications and alerts
- Strong knowledge of DOT Regulations
- Organizing daily tasks and untimely planning adjustments
- Weekly meetings with all CDL staff; informing them of new rules or changes in DOT compliance, and team assessments.
- Manage bi-weekly truck cleaning – in and outside of truck/ trailer units (sanitation/ QA)
- Roadside assistance follow-up for emergency related situations (co-op with driver)
- Working with Penske as well as each CDL to organize each unit's Preventive Maintenance schedules
- Ensuring all load requirements and transfers of RM and Finished Goods are performed between plants/ warehouse.
- Accident reporting and follow-up with HR.
- Must ensure all rented or termed units are returned, if no longer in use - and removed or added to insurance.
