Responsibilities
- Control access to the venue by verifying IDs, performing background checks, and managing guest lists using access control systems.
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV cameras and perform regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks.
- Manage crowd behavior through conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to prevent disturbances.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety protocols, AED operation, CPR, and first aid administration.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, altercations, or safety concerns for future review and action.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or safety barriers while adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when required to ensure swift resolution of incidents or emergencies.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance technology, access control systems, and security equipment such as Tasers and firearms handling is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict situations effectively and de-escalate tense scenarios.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills with experience in incident report writing and maintaining detailed security logs.
- Physical security experience involving patrolling premises and performing manual handling tasks like heavy lifting.
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and alertness at all times.
