Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (100% Onsite)

Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead maintenance operations supporting a GMP-regulated cell therapy manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of critical manufacturing equipment, utilities, cleanroom systems, and facility infrastructure. The supervisor will drive maintenance excellence by implementing reliability-centered maintenance strategies, minimizing downtime, and ensuring uninterrupted support for patient-specific, time-sensitive cell therapy production.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians.
• Conduct daily meetings, shift handovers, and performance reviews.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Facilities teams.

Maintenance Operations & Compliance

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with GMP, GDP, FDA, and site procedures.
• Review and approve maintenance work orders and documentation.
• Manage Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and calibration programs.
• Maintain CMMS records and ensure inspection readiness for audits.

Reliability & Asset Management

• Implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) investigations.
• Improve equipment reliability through MTBF and MTTR performance improvements.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment upgrades and lifecycle management initiatives.

Planning & Scheduling

• Coordinate with Maintenance Planners to prioritize maintenance activities.
• Ensure labor, tools, permits, and spare parts are available before execution.
• Improve schedule compliance and reduce reactive maintenance work.

Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Enforce safety programs including LOTO, confined space entry, and permit systems.
• Conduct safety audits, observations, and incident investigations.
• Promote a zero-incident safety culture.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive Lean, Kaizen, and process improvement initiatives.
• Improve PM effectiveness, spare parts management, and maintenance workflows.
• Support site operational excellence initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Technical Diploma or Apprenticeship in HVAC, Mechanical, Building Services, or related trade.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field preferred.

Experience

• 8 years of maintenance experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or GMP-regulated environments.
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and equipment reliability background.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, FDA regulations, and pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements.
• Experience with CMMS systems (SAP preferred).
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and facility systems.
• Experience with Preventive/Predictive Maintenance programs.
• Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and reliability methodologies.
