Job Overview
We are seeking full time passionate and experienced Teachers and Assistant Teachers in our Early Childhood Education Program to work with Infants through 4 year old children. This role is crucial in creating a nurturing and educational environment for young children, ensuring high-quality care and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with experience in private settings, childcare programs and/or special education. Anyone hired will be responsible for curriculum planning and/or implementing the curriculum, following licensing regulations and policies of the program, fostering relationships with families, and nurturing and guiding the children in a positive way.
We are seeking part time positions in our after school program. Hours are 1:30/2 till 5/5:30 Monday thru Friday (must be available at least 4 days per week). Extended hours on days there is no school in session. Most be able to oversee, engage, guide and help children with homework. Must be able to create activities and engage children 5-12 years in age.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning through play and exploration.
- Build strong relationships with the children so you can communicate effectively with parents.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards at all times.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports all children including those with special needs.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt programs to meet their developmental needs.
- Participate in trainings to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with families to support children's learning and development at home.
Requirements
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Participation in ACDS program, completion of any STARS credit hours (WVIT, MIM, or any other series training) preferred.
- Experience within a private school or childcare setting preferred.
- Experience working with children with special needs, and an understanding of developmental milestones preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, co workers and management.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment that fosters growth and development for all children.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education practices.
