Training Store Manager

Position Summary:
The Training/Convenience Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a convenience store, ensuring high levels of customer service, maintaining inventory, managing staff, and meeting sales goals. This position requires a strong leader who can motivate team members, maintain store standards, and drive profitability while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise store personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and training.
  • Schedule staff and manage labor costs to ensure optimal coverage.
• Customer Service:
  • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service.
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Train staff to maintain high customer service standards.
• Sales and Financial Management:
  • Monitor daily sales and develop strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Analyze financial reports and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage store budgets, control expenses, and optimize profitability.
• Inventory Management:
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and coordinate with suppliers for ordering and receiving products.
  • Minimize shrinkage through effective inventory control measures.
• Store Operations:
  • Ensure the store complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including products and signage.
  • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to enhance sales.
• Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and submit reports on sales, expenses, and operational issues to upper management.
  • Accurately manage cash handling and financial transactions.
• Community Engagement:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with the community.
  • Participate in local events and promotions to enhance store visibility.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a manager in a retail management or a convenience store setting is required
• Previous experience in retail management or a convenience store setting is required.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts as needed.
