Job Description: The Crawford County R-II School District is seeking to hire a 6th Grade Math Instructor at Cuba Middle School for the 2025-26 School year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
- To establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom.
- To motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child, every day.
- Provides positive feedback and encouragement for students.
- Facilitates an environment that promotes academic success, social growth, and well-being of all students.
- Organizes and uses a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings.
- Assesses student progress, provides students and parents with specific feedback, and uses the results to adjust instruction as needed; serves as a communication link between school and home.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervising administrators.
- Crawford County R-2 operates on a 4-day schedule.
- Receive credit for the number of years you have taught in public education for placement on the salary schedule.
TEACHING ASSIGNMENT:
- 6th Grade Math
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the major area of study
- Certification: Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate in 5-9 Math or 1-6 Elementary Education
- Effective oral and written communication skills
