Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Job Responsibilities:
- Positively effective department labor and productivity factors through efficient task organization and delegation
- Train and evaluate bakery department personnel
- Assist with customer questions or requests
- Plan, set, and maintain bakery cases
- Organize, direct and assist with daily department functions
- Performs baking and product preparation
- Monitor and assist in directing bakery department sanitation to ensure proper condition
- Order and receive bakery shipments correctly
- Equipment operation (shrink wrap, label machine, bread slicer, knives, bakery racks, etc.)
- Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures and wet surfaces
- The position requires ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
- Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
- Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be 18 years of age and older.
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Walking on uneven ground
- Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
- Extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces
