Cub Creek Science Camp is a residential summer camp for children ages 7–17, located in Rolla, Missouri. Each summer, we serve approximately 240 campers per session with a seasonal staff of about 100 team members. Position Overview:
The Camp EMT is responsible for responding to field injuries and illness, distributing routine medications throughout camp, and providing first-response emergency care. This role serves as the primary mobile medical responder.
This is a fast-paced, team-based environment ideal for healthcare professionals who enjoy:

Compensation and Benefits:
$10,000 for a 12 week summer. Housing, meals, and laundry included. Weekend work is required, this position requires availability to work on-site 7 days a week for the contract period.
Dates:
May 17–May 30: Health Lodge preparation & staff orientation
May 31–August 9: Ten (10) one-week camper sessions
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute all scheduled daily and evening medications to campers
- Deliver nighttime medications to all villages
- Respond to medical situations in program areas, trails, and cabins
- Provide initial assessment, stabilization, and transport to the Health Lodge as needed
- Communicate all medical encounters to the Nurse
- Carry first-response equipment and maintain medical readiness in the field
Qualifications:
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (EMT certification preferred or required, per camp policy)
- Strong emergency response and assessment skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
- Comfortable working outdoors in all camp environments
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
All staff members will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions. An average of 5 miles of walking is expected each day and all staff must be comfortable walking on uneven ground for extended periods. Comfortable being near a range of animals including snakes, spiders, lizards and other native- and non-native species. Able to sustain energy and enthusiasm throughout the full work day. Weekend work is required, this position requires availability to be on site 7 days a week for the summer season. Functions, activities, and working conditions may change or new ones may be added during the course of employment to support the operation of camp.
