We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely according to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues within complex systems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage circuits, and industrial electrical components.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards, and electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or renovations, including framing carpentry and general construction tasks as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, troubleshooting logs, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with expertise in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints accurately.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools; ohmmeters; multimeters; and other diagnostic equipment.
- Construction site experience with renovation projects or new installations is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics efficiently while adhering to safety procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an active approach to diagnosing issues quickly and effectively.
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by state or local regulations; additional handyman or construction experience is a plus.
