- Provide timely and proper setup support per customer requests in all event spaces meeting rooms, and other spaces throughout the UMC;
- Set up tables and chairs, risers, pipe and drapes; removal of existing furniture; reset rooms; trash disposal; and AV/PA support as needed;
- Prioritize daily work assignments, make adjustments to setup requests when needed, and decide what equipment to use to complete the tasks.
- Provide clean well-maintained meeting and banquet space daily to the customers of the UMC;
- Mop and dust-mop; scrub banquet floors; vacuum; shampoo carpets; and keep furniture clean and well maintained;
- Empty trash receptacles before and after events.
- Clean and maintain offices and exterior areas of the UMC daily;
- Offices: vacuum and shampoo carpets; empty trash receptacles; mop and dust mopping; clean walls and light fixtures;
- Exterior of Building: perform daily inspections of spaces; empty trash receptacles; sweep sidewalks; power wash walk ways and building walls as needed.
- Work directly with customers to fine tune setups and make changes as needed;
- Assist customers with their requests and ensure the setup meets their needs.
- Perform major floor and facility maintenance during breaks in the academic schedule;
- Shampoo carpets; strip, reseal, and wax floors throughout the building;
- Clean windows and walls; inspect furniture for repairs; deep clean event spaces; and organize equipment.
- Perform moving functions for offices, equipment, and furniture;
- Move heavy equipment, desks, stone tables, furniture, wood supplies as needed.
- Snow removal from sidewalks during winter months;
- General equipment maintenance and repair;
- Replace lights throughout building.
- The anticipated work schedule for this position is from Tuesday - Saturday, 12:30pm - 9pm.
- The annual salary range is $39,312 - $41,600

This position is designated "essential services." The incumbent is required to respond to requests for work during campus emergencies (snow, wind, rain, flood and any other natural or man-made event) and report to work for his / her regularly assigned shift during emergency campus closures.
