What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaner 2nd Shift (New Haven) position at CTTRANSIT?
Job Description
Performs all cleaning duties on revenue, non-revenue vehicles and facilities. Perform all appropriate duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
Examples of Duties
1. Shift & Park Buses
2. Assist in the operation of the service lane
3. Check and report all safety and mechanical problems identified to the Maintenance Supervisor
4. General cleaning of vehicles & building as required.
5. Responsible for janitorial and recycling duties
Qualifications
1. Valid & current Connecticut driver's license
2. The ability to clean vehicles, the building and ground
3. Experience and proficient in operating heavy duty commercial vehicles and buses
4. The ability to understand written and oral instructions
5. The necessary skills to service buses and non-revenue vehicles
6. The ability to operated buses through the bus wash and park them in the storage barn/assigned areas
7. The ability to operate steam cleaner, floor scrubber, floor sweeper and fork truck
