Quantity Surveyor
Location: Houston, TX (Training) then Cameron, LA.
Description
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Houston. This role will begin in the home office, supporting pre-construction planning and coordination, with a high likelihood of transitioning to an active construction site. The ideal candidate will bring approach to managing field operations, subcontractors, quality, and planning
Main Accountabilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
- Monitor and control project costs and variations.
- Negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Prepare cost reports and support risk analysis.
Job Duties:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial construction, ideally in oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy transition projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of contracts (FIDIC or similar).
- Proficiency in cost management tools and MS Office.
Preferred:
- Experience in large-scale industrial/energy projects.
- Professional certification (RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
