About the Role:

The Technician, Quality plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for conducting detailed inspections, testing, and analysis to identify any deviations or defects in materials, components, or finished goods. The Technician collaborates closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. By maintaining accurate documentation and quality records, this role supports compliance with internal policies and external audits. Ultimately, the Technician, Quality helps safeguard the company’s reputation by ensuring that only products meeting the highest quality standards reach the market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with quality inspection techniques and use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Basic understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures accurately.
  • Good communication skills to effectively document findings and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment with familiarity in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency with quality data management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Prior experience in multi-site quality support or working in a regulated industry such as automotive, aerospace, or medical devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Identify, report, and assist in investigating quality issues, working with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Calibrate and maintain quality testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data analysis and feedback to production and engineering teams.
