What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician, Lab L1 position at CTS Cement Manufacturing Corp?
RESPONSIBILITIES: Capable of designing and executing laboratory-based investigations and development projects.· Design and develop experimental analysis/testing needed to solve product issues.· Collaborate with other team members of the P&I group (concrete and pavement division).· The individual will work closely with multiple departments (marketing, production, operations, quality control, sales).· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.· This position reports to the Executive Vice President for Technology. QUALIFICATIONS:· Master's or doctoral Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or engineering/science degree equivalent, with an emphasis on cement.· One (1) to five (5) years of similar experience.· Knowledge and interest in topics such as cement chemistry, hydration behavior, microstructure analysis, XRD analysis (such as Rietveld analysis), shrinkage and expansion of cement, etc.· Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.· Ability to lift 50 pounds.· Ability to travel.· Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).· Willingness to attend conferences· Versatility and flexibility in switching topics related to sales- this is not an academic position.
