CTR Group is currently seeking Deck Tile Setters for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME. Transitioning or former Navy members and current Reservists are also encouraged to apply for these cleared positions.
A 6-Month Contract, Dec 1 - end of May 2026.
Pay Range: $31 - $35 per Hour and Benefits. Plus $74 Per Diem JTR (including travel) for Non-Local Candidates.
REQUIREMENTS:
We’re opening submittals for Deck Tile Setters (A113) to support QED Systems at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (Kittery, ME). Target start is December 1, 2025 with a ~6-month contract (anticipated through late May 2026).
SUMMARY:
- Rip-out, repair, and install shipboard deck systems (linoleum, deck tile, ceramic tile, epoxy finishes, ablative tiles).
- Template and pre-fabricate materials; perform deck surface prep, layout, adhesive selection, and finishing.
- Operate trade power equipment (cutters, cement/epoxy mixing equipment).
- Work aboard USN vessels within shipyard environment.
REQUIREMENTS;
- Experience: 2 years shipboard deck resurfacing on commercial ships or U.S. Navy ships/submarines.
- Material proficiency (must be shown on the resume): experience with at least three of the following:
- linoleum, deck tile, ceramic tile, epoxy finishes, ablative tiles.
- Able to pass respirator fit testing and standard shipyard medical screening.
- Base access eligibility; active clearance a plus.
