CTR Group is seeking Outside Machinists with Active Secret Clearance for a Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. SKILLS:Outside Machinist, Machinery Repair & Maintenance, Inspecting, Troubleshooting, Machinery Overhaul, Drawings & Blueprints, Submarine Experience, Precision Tools, Measurement Instruments, Calibration, Alignment, DoD Clearance. Maintenance and repair of machinery. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing necessary repairs to ensure the efficient operation of equipment. Key Responsibilities:Inspect machinery to identify defects and malfunctionsPerform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on various types of machinery, including but not limited to engines, pumps, and propulsion systemsUtilize precision tools and instruments for measurement, calibration, and alignmentRead and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsCollaborate with team members to optimize machinery performanceAdhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentCompleted apprenticeship program or relevant technical trainingProven experience as an Outside Machinist in an industrial settingMust have submarine experience.
