Job Title: Principal AI Architect
Location: Dallas, TX – Onsite 4 days a week

Compensation Expectation: $160,000 – 180,000
What You'll Do As a Principal Ai Architect:
- Strategic Vision:
- Define the long-term architectural vision and evolution roadmap across multiple business domains.
- Translate business strategy into a coherent, modular, and scalable technical ecosystem.
- Anticipate future trends (AI, IoT, data unification) and ensure technology readiness.
- Architectural Mastery
- Establish standards for system integration, API architecture, and data flow across platforms.
- Lead deep technical reviews — from infrastructure and scalability to application design.
- Make principled trade-offs between speed, cost, and maintainability, balancing near-term needs and long-term resilience.
- Influence and Leadership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives, engineering leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Build alignment across product, data, and cloud domains, fostering shared architectural ownership.
- Mentor architects and senior engineers, raising the bar for architectural thinking company-wide.
- Execution and Delivery
- Translate architectural intent into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure quality through architecture governance, documentation, and technical reviews.
- Lead by example in ambiguity — setting clarity and direction where systems and teams intersect.
Qualifications:
You could be a great fit if you have:
- 12 years in software architecture or systems design; 5 years in a principal or enterprise-level role
- Proven experience architecting multi-tenant SaaS platforms on AWS or comparable cloud environments
- Strong grounding in system integration, microservices, API design, and data architecture
- Demonstrated success leading modernization of legacy systems (e.g., Ruby on Rails → distributed architectures)
- Exceptional communication skills—comfortable moving between whiteboard and boardroom
- Preferred
- Experience in IoT or data-rich domains (agriculture, manufacturing, energy, logistics)
- Familiarity with AI/ML data pipelines and cloud-native analytics
- Understanding of data governance, privacy, and security frameworks
- Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, TOGAF)
