The Manager of the Supply Chain Team will be a hands-on Leader that will guide and direct the activities of all material management functions inclusive of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Planning, Inventory Control, Shipping & Receiving, Field Inventory Management and Set Utilization. The Supply Chain Manager will collect, analyze, and interpret Material Requirements data to identify sales trends, inventory levels, demand planning and information useful in optimizing customer experience. Key contributor in the liaising with CTL Amedica’s Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Manufacturing Teams to ensure information management and delivery expectations provide Customers with a World Class experience. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence across the supply chain including distributor support, hospital case readiness, and inventory accuracy.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. This individual will directly manage a team, oversee shipment accuracy, and play a key role in scaling operations as the company transitions into enhanced database and asset tracking systems
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with company goals, utilizing tools such as QuickBooks, iTraycer, and MRP systems.
- Oversee procurement, purchasing, inventory management and demand planning to ensure optimal stock levels and timely production schedules.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
- Analyze supply chain data using Power BI, SI&OP and supply chain analytics to identify trends, forecast demand, and support decision-making.
- Coordinate logistics activities including transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure the quality and efficiency of delivered products.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on production planning and inventory control to meet customer demands while minimizing excess inventory.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate procurement contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Lead transition into database-driven inventory and asset tracking systems
- Conduct quarterly on-site inventory reconciliations at hospitals and distributor facilities
- Review Set Performance, facilitate Set Return Requests and propose new set allocations
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management
- Experience in medical device, spine, orthopedic, or surgical industry strongly preferred
- Proficiency with data visualization tools including Power BI, Tableau, and SQL for analytics purposes.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (strongly preferred), inventory management, procurement, demand planning, and logistics.
- Experience with process improvement frameworks like Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of MRP systems and production planning techniques to optimize manufacturing workflows.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
· Proven experience managing inventory across multiple locations, including consignment models
· Strong understanding of shipping logistics, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes
Required Education Level:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or relevant field. Experience may be utilized in lieu of education
Job Status:
- On Site, Full Time, Monday through Friday, Day Shift based in Dallas, Texas (no remote option)
- Fast-paced, operationally intensive environment requiring daily hands-on involvement
- Ability to lift and handle surgical instrument sets as needed
- Occasional travel required for inventory reconciliation and field support
· Availability to respond to time-sensitive or urgent operational needs, and sometimes high pressure situations
· Weekend On-Call May be required
